This is taking forever

Progress on Eldest? Some. Still 192 pages to go. I will finish it tonight so that I can start Brisingr tomorrow. Hopefully Brisingr will be a faster read because I haven’t read it once yet.

This is taking me forever because I already know what’s going to happen and it’s not inspiring me to read any faster. Doesn’t really help that I spent 2 hours last night skipping the rest of the book before coming back to where I started skimming it from, right? xD

But now, back to reading the book. For real this time. I already read ~120 pages at Elina’s today, but I want to finish this book tonight as I said before. 🙂

Book 2: Eldest

So, this is the 3rd day I am reading my second book of the year. I took a little break yesterday, so this is really the second day of actually reading the book. But since I finished Eragon over a day “early”, I could finish this later tomorrow and still stay on my tentative schedule. But still, I know that even if I am on page 280 at the moment, I will try to finish this book today/during the night so that I can spend Twelth Night reading Brisingr, and hopefully start reading Inheritance on Saturday. But well see how it goes! 🙂

Eldest begins following several important events in Eragon. The story is the continued adventures of Eragon and his dragon Saphira, centering around their journey to the realm of the Elves in order to further Eragon’s training as a Dragon Rider. Other plots in the story focus on Roran, Eragon’s cousin, who leads the inhabitants of Carvahall to Surda to join the Varden, and Nasuada as she takes on her father’s role as leader of the Varden. Eldest ends at the Battle of the Burning Plains, where Eragon faces a new Dragon Rider, Murtagh, and a new dragon, Thorn.”
